To see a Sciapod

"Most remarkable of all is the sciapod, an obscure folkloric figure and the
only one of his kind in England. This odd chap, supposed to have one
enormous foot under which he lies shaded from the sun, has a hop-on part in
Voyage of the Dawn Treader, one of CS Lewis's much-loved Narnian chronicles.
He also features in old Latin texts and some versions of the medieval
bestiary (a major source of carved bench figures) - but at Dennington he has
two feet, not one. "
