21051Do the Tolkiens come from East Prussia?
- Feb 2, 2010I have written two short articles about the theory of (East) Prussian origin of the Tolkien family name. They were recently translated into English by my friend J. Schramel. I would like to inform you about these texts with the hope that they may be of some interest to you.
They can be found here:
(1) "Does the Tolkien family come from Warmia?" http://www.elendilion.pl/2010/02/02/does-the-tolkien-family-come-from-warmia-i/
(2 )"To³kiny in Warmia: a nest of the Tolkien family?" http://www.elendilion.pl/2010/02/02/tokiny-in-warmia-a-nest-of-the-tolkien-family-ii/
We have also prepared two texts about Arthur Tolkien's two graves (one in Bloemfontein and the other in Birmingham) and about the oldest records of the Tolkien family. They will be soon translated into English. And you'll be able to find them on Elendilion.
