      JAMES MADISON UNIVERSITY -- Musicologist, full-time, tenure track
      position. Teach and coordinate undergraduate and graduate music history and
      literature courses. Maintain active record of scholarly activities and
      publications. Serve the academic
      programs of the school and the intellectual life of the university. Ph.D.
      or ABD in Musicology or Music History required. Strong generalist with
      experience teaching college-level music
      history and related courses preferred.
      Rank: Asst. Professor.
      Start Date: 2001-2002 academic year.
      Application deadline: 5/23/2001 or until filled.

      samples of published articles,
      papers, or other scholarly work; a curriculum vitae; three letters of
      reference specific to this position, and a list of three additional
