        hi all

I have been busy with my vegetable garden. I have flowers on my early tomato plants and I have flowers forming on my pepper plants. The rest are doing well.

Work is coming along well. Patrick is out of school and did very well on his report card.

He will enter fifth grade in September.

My husband takes care of him during the summer months as he does not work since he is a school bus driver. That way we save on the cost of daycare.

        take care

          Hi All,

What is everyone having for dinner today?

We are having fresh ham (Roast Pork), mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus.

          Vanilla ice cream for dessert.

It is going to be in the 40's all week here which is like a heat wave for us.

Gasoline prices vary but where I live they are $3.15 per gallon.

          Take care.

I am still looking for pen pals so if interested, let me know.

            hi all

            I
am home today as my car needs to go to the shop tomorrow to get the
thermostat repaired.  It is sticking and it causing too much heat to
come inside the vehicle.  my antifreeze is not leaking though which is
good news.  I know that it is a two hour job and only $10.00 part.

oh well, it has to be repaired.  In spring, i will be looking for another vehicle.

            hope
everyone is well.  It snowed here again last evening with another 4
inches of snow.  Another storm is due on Wednesday.  I will be glad
            when Spring Arrives!!

other than the snow, I am up to anything much.  Trying to stay on top of my reading.

            take care

            sue

              hi all

well today is sunday.  another weekend come and gone.

              I
for one will be happy when March comes around as it is much warmer than
February although we did have several warm days for February.  Was
almost 60! on Friday and now it is back to the 20's.

they are expecting a snowstorm this evening.  Approximately 1-3 inches here.

Had to go shopping today for groceries.  For dinner today we are having pot roast, carrots and mashed potatoes.

              Still
busy at work. Unfortunately, due to poor economy, no raise for me this
year.  Oh well, there is always next year, I hope.

              Take care

              sue

                Hi all

Just found out on Friday that my son Patrick has been diagnosed with Scoliosis.  He will be going to a pediatric spinal physician to see if he needs to be fitted for a brace to be worn at night.

                his
curve is now at 20% and if it goes to 45% he will need surgery.  I was
diagnosed with scoliosis when I was younger but I was able to do
exercises to strengthen my muscles and never needed a brace or surgery.
Hopefully, the specialist will recommend the same but only he will
                know.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

today for dinner we are having stuffed peppers with italian bread.

                take care

                    Hi,

Sorry that I have not posted in a while.  Things here got a little hectic.

                    First
of all, my son Patrick who is 13 has been diagnosed with scoliosis.  He
has a 20% degree and will see the specialist on May 4 to see what needs
                    to be done if anything.

should his curve go to 25%, they will
fit him for a brace.  If the curve goes to 45%, he will need surgery so
we are hoping that they can try something else before any type of
                    surgery.

Also, my husband has been diagnosed with diverticulitis
as well as a hiatus hernia.  He has to follow a strict diet now to
prevent the hernia from going into esophageal cancer.

                    Things at
work are depressing.  My immediate manager has lost her position at
work due to downsizing and we are waiting to get the name of a new
                    manager.  Her manager was also
released due to downsizing.  Hopefully, the new manager will be just as
                    good.

I worked in my flower garden last weekend.  Last fall, I
planted hyacinths as well as crocus and pansies and iris.  The iris are
growing larger now and the hycianths and crocus are in full bloom.  I
have already decided what I am going to grow in my two vegetable gardens
which will be:  tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans and carrots.

                    Hope everyone else is well.

                    take care.

                    sue

                        hi everyone,

we are fine here.  My son Patrick gets out of school for the summer tomorrow.

my husband got a job driving school buses for the summer months so he will be working July 5 - August 11.

I am on vacation July 11-15 and August 15-19.  We may go away for Labor Day Weekend as I have september 1-2 off.

Hope everyone is well.  My vegetable garden
is growing great.   I have flowers on pepper plants, brocolli is
growing bigger and my cucumber plants are starting to climb the fence
and I have little tomatoes on my grape tomato plants and all the other tomato plants are producing flowers.

We bought a new vacuum.  Got it on HSN.  It is a Dyson DC25 animal.

Was expensive but I hope that it works better than our 19 year old Hoover Canister Vacuum.

                        Will let everyone know
when it arrives and we use it how we like it.

                        take care

                          sorry for the late response.

My husband is still recovering from his surgery on September 30.  He is now out of work until January 3, 2012 as he still needs time to heal inside.  he will go back to doctor on December 8 for another PSA Test and we hope that it comes out zero.  If not, they will need to do a cat scan and find the cancer cells and zap them with radiation.

Patrick is doing well in school.  First marking period has ended and he achieved an 93 in English, 86 in Social Studies, 95 in spanish, 90 in Technology, 88 in Science and 72 in Math.  He will work on his math in second quarter.  He joined the Club SADD and this thursday he will  volunteer to help out feeding the senior citizens a turkey dinner.  On Monday evening he is going to stay after school to help bake the pies for the dinners.

It will help him out socially.  He is starting to do better in school by meeting other people within his age group.

Hope all is well with everyone else.  I will try to post at least once per week starting next weekend.

                          Take care

Just wanted to let you know that first:  My husband Pat is still doing well.  He had several tests done to see if he had colon cancer and throat cancer.  No colon cancer, thank god.  We have to wait for bioposy next week for throat cancer.

He will also have another test done in April to make sure that there is still no sign of any cancer in his system.

My son Patrick is still wearing his brace at night.

He is currently 5 foot 5 and 1/2 and will see doctor again on June 27.

Things at work are the same.  We will find out on April 2 or 3 whether or not we are still employed!! Will keep you updated.

My flowers are coming up at this time.  My hyacinths are blooming.  They are so pretty in pink,

my crocus has bloomed and is done.

My daylilies as well as my iris are growing bigger and my rose trees have all of their leaves coming up.

                              Hope everyone else is well.

                              take care

Today I worked in my vegetable gardening taking care of some overgrown weeds.

                                I
also planted some more green bean seeds.  The onions are doing so well
as well as the tomato plants.  The cucumber plants should climb the
fence shortly and the other vegetables including squash, cabbage and
                                peppers are coming along.

today for dinner we are having chicken, carrots and mashed potatoes.

                                I
am working all this week and will then be on vacation July 2-6.
However, my husband Pat will be working the week I am on vacation.  He
will work all Summer until August 10.

I am also on vacation August 25-31 so we hope to go away for about 4-5 days that week just to relax.

next year, I hope to go away to Cape Cod or visit my family down in Georgia and North Carolina.

We are going to a graduation party next
month.  Patrick will be 15 on July 18.  We are going to have a cookout in our yard the first weekend of August.

                                Take care
