A much changed machine
It's an all purpose (at least 13 different operations) screw cutting machine tool that uses the concrete lathe bed, carriage and auxiliary spindle designs. What is different is that it does not need an engine block for the elevating headstock and it does not need expensive steel plate to connect the headstock to the rest of the machine.
The machine would give the user the choice of 2 tailstocks, one on the fixed bed and another that would be be attached to the overarm of the elevating headstock.
To understand all this you should study the Multimachine, the concrete lathe and the "combination machine" list on the home page at lathes.co.uk. I have tried to incorporate all the features of these machines while limiting the total cost to a few hundred dollars.
