Group Description

This group is designed to inform people about the wonders of Marine Biology and the ocean. You will recieve a newsletter in which special events are listed, as well as Marine Biology related subjects.

Marine biologists often work analysing, classifying and counting bacteria, plankton, algae and creatures such as shrimps, worms and fish larvae.

Marine biologists are interested in how marine organisms develop, relate to one another, adapt to their environment and how they cope with it. With knowledge of how these plants and animals live today, certain predictions can be made. Such as: About how marine lifestyles and habitats will cope with changes such as global warming, pollution, pressure from fisheries and even damage caused by tourism in some areas. Some marine biologists work with geologists to examine fossil marine organisms, which give important links to the past.

I hope this site informs you at least a little about Marine Biology and how Marine Biologists work. Please contact me if you have any information or questions about Marine Biology. :)

The newsletter will be once a week. Check on the message board once in a while, because I might be gone one week, and I might not have time to prepare a newsletter. Email me all you want, I am glad to get the messages! :) bye.
