2012 DA14: Please observe it!
2012 DA14 could make an extremely close approach within about 0.1 lunar distances
in mid-February of 2013. However, the orbital uncertainties will grow rapidly before
next year's flyby, so please continue to observe it for as long as possible during
the _current_ apparition as you can (and please report the astrometry, as always, to
the Minor Planet Center). A lengthy arc of good astrometry now will faciliate
recovery next winter prior to the encounter.
2012 DA14 will be a very strong radar target at Goldstone in 2013, but only
if the plane of sky uncertainties are small enough for us to point the telescope.
