From: "Cam, Lee, Maya & Fynn" <sytranquility@ trans-marine. net>Mike,If you are not opposed to bring your boat up to Stamford, CT I would be more than happy to help you out.No dockage fees as we are a mobile business traveling between Long Island Sound and FL. We anchor out and our customers raft-up while work is carried out. On board work-shop & very reasonable rates. We just finished up a Gen-Set, Watermaker & Alternator upgrade. Have a look at our site www.trans-marine. net. We are full time cruisers of a family of 4 and the only time we go to the dock is to refuel about 2 times a year. Give me a call or email and will be able to discuss some options for you.Hope this helpsCameron Murray954-683-7368----- Original Message -----From: sportboardsSent: Monday, July 30, 2007 9:12 PMSubject: [morganowners] 1984 Morgan 416 Electrical / Navigation Equip Consulting/Contract ing Services
I am based out of the Middle River, Greater Baltimore area and was hoping someone out
there could direct me to an area supplier of the subject services, or better, someone that
moonlights, maybe retired, and does this part time. My "Living on 12 Volt" systems are all
operating, but are dated - my hope is to find someone that can support....
a. Understanding my current batteries and their status
b. Advice on a 100 amp self exciting and self regulating alternator and its use.
c. Installing a breaker upstream and downstream of inverter for safety-curent setup does
not allow for a quick shut off.
d. Changing some nav installation and rerouting wiring
e. Replacing current wind indicator, depth sounder, speed into an integrated system
Will probably end up contracting with one of the larger services out of Annapollis and
paying their rates. Again, was really hoping to find part time support from someone very
expert that could consult on sit e, have expertise and tools for the task, or support my DIY
efforts, get me on my way, and be paid for such a service !
Thought to ask !
