Among the early implementation elements of the Arboretum master plan that was adopted a couple of years ago is a new, so-called, wayfinding plan. This will involve some revision of the paths and, I believe, adoption of signage standards. The wayfinding plan has the potential to preserve or substantially alter the look and feel of the Arboretum.
An open house on the wayfinding plan will be held on Tuesday Aug. 3 at the Graham Visitor Center between 5:30 and 7:30 PM. Anyone who thinks the feel of the Arboretum is too important to be left to the tender mercies of the planners should attend the event and see for themselves what is in store.
