Boston & Plymouth here in MA, come immediately to mind.  We have an Egypt, too.

      Hi,

It is not really surprising that there are a lot of UK place names in the USA.  Early settlers named areas after their home towns and districts in the "Old Country".

From Aberdeen to York, pretty much every UK settlement has a USA namesake.

Sometimes adding the prefix "New" - you even have a New England.

      All the best,
      Ian

Mert, your fighting a losing battle. <g>  Some people's view of the world begins around their own feet and recon everyone else knows that.

There IS a Hadleigh in New York, USA.  And there's a Suffolk (County) there also.  Imagine that!
