- Can you believe how FAST the year is going???Fall All-State Convention (FAS) will be here before you know it!That means it’s almost time to get your submissions turned in! There has been a great deal of fantastic projects run by incredible chapters and people. Now it’s time to get the recognition that you all deserve, be proud and celebrate your accomplishments and contributions.Due Dates (see details below for details on each):August 16:· CPGs· Priority Project Reports· Road Run forms due· Passport EntriesAugust 17: CPG Judging 9am at Chapter Service CenterDETAILSBelow is a list of all the information you need to know for 2nd trimester submissions. There are also other items on this page to help you categorize a project, complete the forms properly, and put together your submissions.ELIGIBILITY DATES· Project Awards: For projects held April 1, 2013 – August 15, 2013 not already submitted for an award.· People Awards: For activities occurring April 1, 2013 – July 31, 2013.
PEOPLE AWARDSUse for all the “people” awards including: Chapter, Website, Newsletter, President, Vice Presidents, State Delegate, Secretary, Treasurer, Directors, Jaycees, and New Jaycees.· People awards: Due date determined by Region Directors. Contact your RD for the due date. (If you do not have a Region Director, contact MDVP Heather)· Turn in to your respective Regional Director· Gold and Silver submissions in each Region will be forwarded on to State for consideration for state awards at Convention.· Bronze, Silver and Gold awards will be handed out in September at Fall All State convention in Rochester, MN.The forms for all the people awards can be found in one multi-tab excel workbook. Instructs for completing are located on tab 1. Form is attached or can be located at:REGION LEVEL PROJECT AWARDSUsed for project awards on the region level, does NOT get forwarded to state for consideration for recognition at FAS Convention. Use the Single Page Awards Form (SPE) attached to this email and located at http://mnjaycees.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Regional-Level-SPE-Award-Form.docCHAIRPERSON PLANNING GUIDES (CPG’s)Use for project awards at the state level.· DUE DATE: Must be AT the Chapter Service Center or MDVP Heather’s home no later than August 16th.· Must be tabbed and contain the full CPG along with all supporting information.· You will receive parade points for submissions and extra points if you submit one in each category (11 total= 10 categories plus UN MDG). Max 2 submissions per category.The CPG template, which had been revised to include some instructions for putting the books together, is attached to this email and can be located at http://mnjaycees.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/CPG-Template-with-supporting-docs-Rev.-2013.doc. And you get parade points for helping!· Judging will take place Saturday, August 17th at the Chapter Service Center in Burnsville, MN. Snacks and refreshments will be provided. Please attend and help out, the more we have the faster it goes! If your chapter is submitting CPG’s, we ask that you provide at least 2 judges.CPG TRAININGAlso, if your chapter or Region is interested in CPG training there is still time!
