    No Chisel How ever sugjested that must not know that a chisel is not hard enough. There are hand gages you can buy that are made by all tool companys. Try that

      I've been reading up on machine shop basics, and came across reference on how to bring a drill bit back to center, by making one or more 'nicks or marks' with a sharp chisel.  Has anyone here used this?  If so, how well does this technique work, and how easy is it to learn?
