      In addition to what has been suggested you should check the level of the machine to see if it is racked or twisted. Loosen it on the cabinet and see if one corner of the machine base raises up off the cabinet. If so , shim until it sits solidly on all four corners, then retighten the mounting bolts, and relevel the machine. Sometimes even a flimsy sheet metal cabinet can twist the mill a little while the mill twists the cabinet a lot.

      Does anybody have any tips on how to adjust the gibs on these machines? It's tight at the extreme ends of travel and light in the center.
