      A high helix end mill is used on super tough materials. IE Titanium, Stainless, etc etc it is used to reduce the power needed to "push" the cutter edge through the material. Think like a lifting ramp or a thread pitch on a jack. High helix equals less force needed to turn the jack screw. Same principle would apply to the cutting edge of the end mill.
