      Keynote Speaker

      Dr. Dennis Weaver will deliver the keynote address, Delivery Transformation in an Era of Change, during the opening plenary of this year’s conference. He is the Executive Vice President and Chief Medical Officer for Southwind, a division of the Advisory Board Company, an organization focused on improving the performance of health system sponsored physician practices and assisting health systems with the development and implementation of physician alignment strategies. Dr. Weaver has more than 20 years of senior executive experience in a broad range of healthcare leadership positions and maintains board certification in multiple specialties.

       

      Christine Chavez, Farmworker Coordinator,

      Office of Advocacy and Outreach,
      USDA, Washington, DC

      Ms. Chavez will deliver an update on the United States Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Farmworker initiatives. She has made a lifetime commitment to public service, civil rights and he labor movement. For years, she worked with the United Farmworkers Union, the organization her grandfather Cesar Chavez helped to co-found over 40 years ago.

       

      Christopher Mathews, MD
      Senior Vice President
      and Chief Medical Officer,

      Community Health Network (CHNW)
      and the Community Health Plan
      of Washington State (CHPW)

      As a leading expert on Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), Dr. Mathews will offer an educational session on strategies for managing organizational care. He is a board certified internal medicine physician and physician executive with extensive executive leadership experience in health care delivery systems and managed care.

      A. Seiji Hayashi, M.D., M.P.H.,

      Chief Medical Officer,

      Bureau of Primary Health Care (BPHC)
      Health Resources and Services
      Administration (HRSA)

      As Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Hayashi oversees the bureau’s clinical quality strategy for the nation’s community health centers, migrant health centers, health care for the homeless centers, and public housing primary care centers. He will deliver an overview of HRSA’s and the Bureau’s Quality Improvement strategic framework.
