I found my first set of Kings Crown at a community yard sale about 8 years ago. Soon thereafter my husband 'Bill' picked up a couple pieces of Ruby Glass thinking it would look nice displayed with my Kings Crown. I/we were hooked. This must be a sickness! Not only are we always on the lookout for Ruby Red we are collecting Forest Green Glass as well. What a BEAUTIFUL display the combination makes at Christmas time! Last year I was able to trade misc. pieces of Depression for the punch/popcorn bowls I'd wanted since I first came down with 'Ruby Fever'. I would love to hear from others who share in this mania! With a double curved curio, one regular size curio, and a corner curio which hold nothing but Ruby plus the curio filled with Forest, not to mention the pieces scattered throughout the house, I would be interested to know if anyone has as much as I do. I'm looking for the beer bottles, baking dishes in Ruby and the vase to complete my 'Rachel' collection (Anchor Hocking). To the best of my knowledge only 4 pieces of Rachel were made. I have the 11" Punchbowl, 14" Liner, and the 12 1/4" oval bowl. All date back to the 1940's. Keeping my eyes open! P.S. If anyone knows of a teapot to go with my tea service by Seito I'd love to hear from you! It's mint green with white and pink daisies.
