Subject: [midatlanticretro] Aug. 12-13 meeting and gala - no thread creep, please
If I'm going to be there when the event starts, I need a room. I'm 3+ hours
from Wall and that assumes I don't get lost. Ask Chris how long it took him
to get to my house. But the real reason for me to get a room is so we can
have a meeting the nite before. We need a board meeting to get everyone on
the same page. We need to agree on some basic stuff, and agree that we've
agreed and take minutes at the meeting. Also I'd like to have a sit-down with
someone from InfoAge so I'm sure we're on the same page that they are! So if
I'm coming down I plan to arrive as early as I can on Friday so I can be at
InfoAge during business hours. Then we can have a dinner meeting that evening
with the "gala" the next day.
I know a few of you have been to InfoAge a couple of times, but the
information that has made it back here to the list is sketchy at best. Before
I pour much energy into this project, I want to be sure that there really is
This museum has real potiential with a 'free' building at a site run by a
relatively well-funded (compared to us) organization. Right now I think the
word 'organization' is an exageration when applied to us.
BTW, we need a logo to go at the bottom of the InfoAge web site - which begs
the question, what is the name of our museum? You see what I mean?
