      Hello all,

I just saw this posted to the Danbury FreeCycle list. The original email says the event will accept used mainframes! What is in the email is all I know.

In case you have been saving non working electronic equipment, and in case you will be in the city this weekend or Monday, you can safely dispose of your items. Each item will be fixed and given to those who need it, or separated into different categories for actual recycling. For more information, please read below, including the FAQ link.

I wish we had something like this up here, but we don't. I hope this post will be helpful to someone.

      Thanks for reading!

I'm not sure if this belongs on Freecycle(TM)--but I agree that we don't have a convenient way to dispose of electronics in this area. You may not know that most electronics contains a small amount of mercury, and is therefore considered hazardous waste.
