Articles like this crack me up. We have a strange mentality: "There
were magnetic tapes 60 years ago, therefore all magnetic tapes are from
60 years ago".
There were hard disk drives in 1956...therefore all hard disk drives
are IBM RAMAC 350s?
Ok, so lots of low-rel installations are moving to SSDs. There was
nonvolatile storage in 1955!
I'm glad articles like this pop up every now and then, to raise public
awareness. The very idea of 35TB tape cartridges is just friggin' wild.
