drives' power supply caps. Corey inspired me to do the Altiar repair given
he got one in progress too. Anyway I already bought the caps.

We swapped the Bendix tape drive and CPU (so we can open the CPU cabinet and let people see inside) and we put the appropriate plotter on display with it. We then experimented with using 409 to clean a small corner .... that worked pretty well so we'll continue on it next week. We also put an additional grey cubicle fall in that area to complete the backdrop.
Also had a Home Depot run -- bought larger paint cans to make the rope stanchions stable and also various materials to build a few new stanchions (larger cans = more concrete = they won't keep falling over).
So, today involved a lot of preparing. Next week Jeff will use all the new materials to improve the rope stanchions / make some new ones, I'll continue cleaning the G-15, and we'll work together to put another display case where the UNIVAC paper tape console used to be. We will put various small UNIVAC parts in that case with a bookshelf and some ENIAC info above it.
Finally, we replaced two ugly-looking tiles in the drop ceiling, before calling it a day.
