An interesting look at some vintage microprocessor technology in a different world
- Here's a video with an interesting look at some vintage microprocessor
technology in a different world back in 1979-80. The merging of digital
hardware with one of the oldest arcade games, the pinball game. This is
from the OMNI tv show which contains a clip about the development of one
of the first digital pinball games which contained speech and a music
soundtrack (Gorgar was the first by several months--but it doesn't
compare). The music was composed by a prominent composer, Suzanne Ciani
, whose specialty was in synthesizers. She helped prepare the voice and
music tracks for Bally's game, Xenon, one of their finest--checkout the
artwork. Just another one of my other hobbies.
Here's some more info on her website.
