Obsessive A Cappella singer? The Atlantic Harmony Brigade is not for
passive bystanders. It is an invitational weekend of nonstop singing,
networking and fun for individuals who are truly ambitious, four-part
harmonistazs. From Aug 22-24, 128 experienced, independant, lead and
harmony singers, from all over the eastern seaboard, will meet in
Delaware for the opportunity to mix it up in hundreds of random quartet
combinations. It is a demanding program for discerning, self-starting,
intermediary and advanced quartetmen. Learning materials (CDs and sheet
music)for 12 challenging, championship barbershop songs will be issued
to qualified applicants 16 weeks before the event. Everyone comes FULLY
prepared to make their singing partners sound great. There are two
rounds of an adjudicated competition (from randomly drawn quartets). The
event culminates in a fully stage show. But most of the fun and time is
spent singing around in as many quartet combinations as 34 hours allows.
