** Aurora Watch In Effect **

The Earth remains inside a high speed solar wind stream this evening.
A few aurora have been spotted and photographed over the last couple
of days, and sktwatchers in the higher latitudes should keep an eye
out for aurora. Other than that, solar activity has been low for
several days, and is likely to remain that way for at least another 24
hours. Suspot region 9845 is the only one visible that looks like it
has the potential for generating an M-class flare, and it is about to
rotate over the western limb of the solar disk. After that happens,
the solar disk will be devoid of any major sunspot groups for at least
      the next day or two.

The current solar and geomagnetic conditions are :

      NOAA sunspot number : 152
      SFI : 180
      A index : 11
      K index : 2

      Solar wind speed : 517.4 km/sec
      Solar wind density : 3.4 protons/cc
Solar wind pressure : 1.5 nPa

      IMF : 5.0 nT
IMF Orientation : 2.5 nT South

Conditions for the last 24 hours :
Solar activity was low. The geomagnetic field was quiet to active.
      Stratwarm Alert exists Thursday.

Forecast for the next 24 hours :
Solar activity will be low. The geomagnetic field will be quiet to
      unsettled.

      Solar activity forecast :
Solar activity is expected to be at low levels.

      Geomagnetic activity forecast :
The geomagnetic field activity is expected to be at quiet to unsettled
      levels through the forecast period.

Recent significant solar flare activity :
      None
