      destroyed, however, by Gaia earth theory, and this is a
      scientific theory that has gained incredible mo with
      advances in understanding methanogens role with climate.
      But even without a detailed understanding of the
      causal mechanisms, it is enough to talk about
      homeostasis, why we are here and the microbes on Mars are only
      fossils and on Venus whatever may have been has long
      since been cooked in an atmosphere that would melt
      lead. The planet is alive, and even with an ever
      increasing solar insolation over the eons, the earth remains
      chemically and thermodynamically stabile. THIS IS BECAUSE OF
      LIFE. <br><br>Thus, the theory of chaos FAILS
      completely to analyze climate. For instance, say you were
      trying to convince your Dad to stop smoking. And he
      argued that the smoke acted randomly, chaotically (he
      would have a difficult time saying that lung cancer
      comes from something else but smoking). What would you
      say? Of course, it would include oncogenes and
      carcinagens and 400,000 people DEAD every year and that you
      love your Dad, but that every time your Dad smokes, he
      must understand that it might cause the one additional
      mutation that prematurely ends his life. <br><br>Nature
      has built it our lung cells great redundancy to
      protect them from natural chaotic sources of cancer. It
      takes, what, five or six mutations before cancer occurs,
      and even if there is genetic predisposition, several
      mutations independantly must occur. But smoking (and our
      longer lives) changes the odds--and it is a seen change
      that can and is following the probability rule of
      large numbers--hundreds of thousands are dying every
      year. <br><br>Skeptics are all uniformly ignorant about
      biology, and are funny to talk about a little chicken in
      this regard. <br><br>There just weren't enough people
      around to tell everyone else about it. Now that we are a
      global village, with cameras everywhere, we just hear
      about more of it. <br><br>This is more non-sense.
      Actually, climate flip flopping as wildly as it has over
      the past several million years is WHY we exist in the
      midst of an extinction event as the emerging species.
      Ancients had the Zodiac and this clearly is a climate
      calender. <br><br>Warming is a term of averages, a term of
      those of a chaos education--which is probably why the
      skeptics are so inflamed, as many are indoctrinated in the
      chaos theory, and almost all meteorologists have their
      root training in this thinking. Since, however, with
      climate we are really talking about biological systems
      modulating climate in the face of chaotic stimulas, the
      better word would be fever. Or perhaps with this new
      iris injection into the debate, excessive sweating.
      That said, CO2 is both a green house gas and an ion, a
      gas that gives water in the air an acidic pH. This
      plays with the biological mechnism of Gaia earth
      cooling, and deserves serious debate.

        swung to a strong south-pointing orientation. That,
        coupled with an elevated solar wind speed and density,
        triggered a G-1 class geomagnetic storm. The result was
        some high latitude aurora. See this link for a

        namely 9839, 9842, and 9845, that appear to be capable

        are close to rotating out of view over the western
        limb of the solar disk. Sunspot region 9845, however,
        is close to the sun's central meridian. A rather
        large coronal hole is also approaching the sun's
        central meridian, and coming into an Earth-pointing
        position. High speed colar wind gusts are likely around the
        first of next week.<br><br>The current solar and
