The QBO is a "wind" that occurs in the ionosphere. It reaches speeds
of about 90 mph and hints the electrical and magnetic dampening
      which occurs through the biosphere.

The QBO consists of ions. They behave as a conductive body by
Fleming's LEFT hand rule. IOWs, with electrical current and a
magnetic field, the conductor MOVES like coiled electrical motor. In
this case, the wind reverses every couple years, and reverses from
the top down, obviously not influenced by pressure but by the
lighter density air moving faster in changing magnetic field forces.

Interesting, to tie it together, Dr. William Gray at CSU has
correlated the QBO with tropical storm activity. It is a noted
factor in formation. Now, imagine an atmosphere WITHOUT varying QBO.
Indeed, with the end of the earth EMF, the atmosphere especially in
the ionosphere gets swept away into space by the solar winds, and
patterns and interactions between tropical storms are influenced.
