** Aurora Watch In Effect **

The Earth remains inside of a high speed solar wind stream tonight,
and geomagnetic storm conditions have again been observed within the
last 24 hours. Therefore, an aurora watch is still in effect,
especially for the higher latitudes. Skywatchers in northern Europe,
Canada, Alaska, and the northern tier of the US should keep an eye out
for aurora. The increased activity is expected to continue for at
least the next 24 hours, and personally, judging by the shape of the
coronal hole and the way it is oriented, I think it will continue
longer than that. Two small sunspot regions have become visible, but
don't appear to be capable of generating a significant flare at the
      present time.

The current solar and geomagnetic conditions are :

      NOAA sunspot number : 28
      SFI : 95
      A index : 26
      K index : 4

      Solar wind speed : 628.8 km/sec
      Solar wind density : 3.9 protons/cc
Solar wind pressure : 2.3 nPa

      IMF : 5.4 nT
IMF Orientation : 3.5 nT South

Conditions for the last 24 hours :
Space weather for the past 24 hours has been minor. Geomagnetic storms
      reaching the G1 level occurred.

Forecast for the next 24 hours :
No space weather storms are expected for the next 24 hours.

      Solar activity forecast :
Solar activity is expected to be very low.

      Geomagnetic activity forecast :
The geomagnetic field is expected to be mostly active for the next 24
hours as the high speed solar wind stream continues. A slight decline
to unsettled to active is expected on day two, and predominantly
unsettled levels are expected on day three.

Recent significant solar flare activity :
      None
