** Aurora Watch In Effect **

The Earth remains inside of a high speed solar wind stream originating
from a coronal hole. The solar wind speed is on the high side of 750
km/sec, and G-2 (moderate) geomagnetic storm conditions have been
observed within the last 24 hours. As a result, an aurora watch is in
effect, and skywatchers should keep an eye out for aurora. Sunspot
region 375, which shot off some big flares its last time around, has
re-emerged over the eastern limb of the solar disk. The background
X-ray flux has remained steady, and there haven't been any significant
flares observed as of yet. It will be interesting to see what happens
      over the next several days.

The current solar and geomagnetic conditions are :

      NOAA sunspot number : 151
      SFI : 124
      A index : 33
      K index : 3

      Solar wind speed : 752.8 km/sec
      Solar wind density : 1.6 protons/cc
Solar wind pressure : 1.3 nPa

      IMF : 7.9 nT
      IMF Orientation 3.1 nT South

Conditions for the last 24 hours :
Space weather for the past 24 hours has been moderate. Geomagnetic
storms reaching the G2 level occurred.

Forecast for the next 24 hours :
Space weather for the next 24 hours is expected to be minor.
Geomagnetic storms reaching the G1 level are expected.

      Solar activity forecast :
Solar activity is expected to continue low.

      Geomagnetic activity forecast :
The geomagnetic field is expected to persist at primarily active to
minor storm levels. Episodic major storming is a distinct possibility.
The influence of the high speed stream will be felt through July 1.

Recent significant solar flare activity :
      None
