Face painting, music, moon bounces, balloon artist, face painting, food trucks, games, and more will be at the Loree Grand Field on Second & L Streets, NE on July 4, 2013 from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Dress to impress – there will be a parade at 6 p.m.! Awards will be given to the best decorated bicycle, tricycle, 4-wheeler (wagon), and dog. There will be a station with materials for children to decorate their bicycles, create hats, and unleash their inner artist. Come connect with your neighbors and celebrate our nation’s independence with your friends and family. The first 200 people get a free hamburger or hot dog, or buy popcorn from Popped! Republic on the field! This free and public event is sponsored by the NoMa BID. Many thanks to our local NoMa Harris Teeter for sponsoring all of the free food at the event! And to Capitol Hill North Neighborhood Association, Eckington Civic Association, Bates Area Civic Association, DC Bocce League, Unleashed by PETCO, and Metro Mutts for partnering with NoMa BID for this event. Site provided by Toll Brothers Apartment Living. For more information visit www.nomabid.org/july-4th-bash.

Want to lend a helping hand? We are seeking friendly volunteers to help kids decorate their rides and dogs for the parade, organize the water balloon toss and other fun activities. Please email Marketing & Events Associate Ali Newman at anewman@... if you are interested.
