      quiet awareness and notice
      your breathing, begin to listen
      in the area of your heart.

      Imagine that as you inhale
      that your heart, the seat
      of love and kindness,
      compassion and wisdom,
      sends a wisdom whisper,
      so softly that you cannot
      hear it. Each time you
      inhale let more of the
      wisdom whisper "speak"
      to your awareness.

      This is Heart Awareness.

      Dinner is a time when
      you are most likely to
      be around good friends
      and family. As you
      enjoy dinner and your
      heart meditation, notice
      subtle feelings of tenderness
      and caring for people
      around you that present
      themselves in a soft
      and wonderful way.
