      Orange Blossom is the metaphor
being used - in deference to
      living in Florida. In Maine,
      it was Apple Blossom.

When we look at an apple or
orange tree in the off season,
      they can look pretty barren.

But come Spring, from out of
      the blue, or from Mother
      Nature, come these incredibly
      beautiful blossoms - a sure
      sign that sweet and delicious
      fruit is soon to follow.

      When we first begin to
      meditate, the process can
      seem pretty empty and barren,
      but with patience a new
      sense of well- being will
      blossom - as if out
of the blue, or from the
      Kind Creator of our very
      existence.

      Typically, we first begin
to notice a sense of residual
inner calm from a period of
      meditation, then a feeling
      of connection with life -
that may seem like an entirely
      new perspective for some
      (especially those who have
      long harbored a feeling of
      estrangement - as if they
are on the wrong planet or
      something).

Next, a sense of order or
      inter-connection of the
      various facets of our lives.
      From this, we will find
      ourselves straighten out
      our desk, closet, and even
      our relationships that need
      a little attention (or repair).

The deeper we go into meditation,
the more we will feel a subtle new
      degree of kindness and compassion
for people, a new tolerance of
      differences, and even an acceptance
      of what was previously an
      annoying personality type.

There are as many more positive
      effects as there are blossoms
      on the orange tree...and for
some the blossoms come as if
all at once. Bloom. Bloom. Bloom.

Of course, for those who are
      interesting in (or longing for)
      that ineffable 'something more'
      that we intuitively feel drawn
      to seek...

      the ultimate human experience
      of awakening and enlightenment
      awaits its unveiling from within.

This is the fruit of our
      Orange Blossom Meditation.

      And when this fruit appears,
      it appears in such abundance
that we are delighted to share
      it every chance we have.

      Orange you glad you meditate?

      Jeff
