Subject: Re: [Meditation Society of America] Hindrances in the path of meditationYou don't get rid of them, they go on their own accord, if necessary.
Meditation always gives you what you need: if what you need is less anger, it will give you that. If you're tired and need a nap, you'll sleep. The whole thing works like that: let existence figure out what you need, while you just sit down and enjoy the ride. Don't bother about "getting rid" of anything, otherwise you won't be flowing with life, you'll struggle and struggle brings suffer. Just flow. Things come in their own accord. On 6/21/07, waruag <waruag@yahoo. co.in> wrote:
I have heard of 5 main obstracles & hindrances in the path of
1. Lust / Sex (kaam)[ brackets () represent hindi words]
2. Anger (krodh)
3. Greed (lobh)
4. possessiveness (MOH)
5. Ego ( hankaar)
But , if we think broadly, nearly 80 to 90% (or i would say 100%) of
human actions are derived by either of these. How can life be possible
without these? How to get rid of these , while leading a normal life?

The desire will be a subtle movement in you, and the movement will continue. You may be sitting like a stone or like a buddha, but still within the stone will be moving. Desire is movement."
