How do you know that you are the image of God? Only by seeing
yourself. How could you see? By seeing yourself in the pool of mind.

The mind will show you, it is ready to show you, your true nature when
the mind is stilled and peaceful. That means, don't do anything to
disturb your mind. To know your Self you should keep the mind
completely still. That means, if you-the real you-wants to live, the
unreal you should die. Yet, it's impossible not to do anything.

To keep your mind quiet, you have to keep on doing something. But,
there is somebody in you, who never does anything, who is still-
      simply a witness, watching everything.

God bless you. Om Shanthi, Shanthi, Shanthi

"If somebody hurts you, they probably don't know any better. If a baby
spits on you, do you expect an apology from him or her? No, because
the baby doesn't know what else to do. It's the same way with such
people. That is probably in their nature. When you walk down the road
and a dog barks at you, do you feel hurt? No, because you think,
`Well, it's a dog. It barks. That's its nature.' So you ignore it and
go on your way. It is the same way with people. Some individuals may
appear to be people, to be in the form of human beings, but they have
animals in them. We all have animalistic qualities in us. Sometimes
these qualities pop up. So ignore it. Then you can remain completely
        peaceful.

God bless you. Om Shanthi, Shanthi, Shanthi."

"There is a simple saying you hear nowadays:
`No pain, no gain.' It means that obstacles
are painful, but there is gain afterwards.
Life comes with a lot of problems. There is
another saying, `Adversity is a blessing in
disguise.' If you remember that, you will
          face all the suffering that comes to you;
you will welcome the suffering, you will even
invite the suffering to come. `Blessed are the
sufferers,' the Bible says. So if you are keen
on your own growth, you will accept everything
that comes to you, and use it for your benefit.
You don't write off a person who hurts you. If
you do that, the same suffering will come again,
in another form. So don't try to avoid it. Face it.
          Pass the test.

God bless you. Om Shanthi, Shanthi, Shanthi."
