      Shoot, if you are a starving student, use plywood.  I won't fault you for it.  Not terribly period but strong and cheapish and expedient.  When you have a "real" job, go for the gusto.  If you can afford it, you can use veneered plywood so at least the outside looks nice, or just paint the thing.

      Thanks for the advise guys and gals and avalonbear the articale defently helped as unforntatly I do have to plead starving studant so somethings like walnut or oak must be scavanged.
