- Those spoon bits are ok. They are made by Clico, the British toolmaker that used to be called Clifton. They do the new Stanley planes you buy now and Record, too.
Better bits, are made by Mr Emhoff. His tapered reamer is superior to any reamer, old or new, I've tried. Expensive though.
