There has been a reality TV show running this summer on Canadian cable
TV's History Channel. It stars Billy Jamieson, an antiquities dealer,
who travels around the world wheeling and dealing for rare and valuable
collectibles. He seems to specialize in shrunken heads and mummies, but,
In one episode (I believe it's the third in the series), Jamieson meets
Bob Leppan and offers to buy his Gyronaut X-1 record-setting Triumph for
$100,000 plus 50% of whatever the bike can bring at auction once
restored. Leppan thanks him for the offer, but looks unimpressed.

Happily, it looks like Leppan has made other plans:

By the way, Jamieson died three quarters of the way through the
production of the series in its first season. It's too bad because it
was a cut above all the other buy and sell shows.
