- Sep 17, 2003Hey everyone,
A few days passed since the aniversary of Sept 11th. The world
changed that day and for those who lost someone our hearts are with
you. It left me thinking... we know there are lots of bad stuff in
the world so shouldn't we as human beings do our part to make it
nicer? I propose from Sept 27 through the 31st please go out and
preform a random act of kindness for someone. For example, I am going
to give a friend a free day from her kids. I bought her a certificate
to a spa and a free lunch while I watch her 3 kids.
I know we are poor college students so it can be as simple as making
cookies for someone in your neighborhood, giving blankets or toys to
a woman's shelter, paying toll for the car behind, or mowing the lawn
for neighbor.
Attached to your gift if possible something like: Hello, you are the
recipient of a very special act of kindness. This act is to
commemorate those who gave their lives taking care of us and those
who preformed incredible acts of courage so others may live on Sept
11th. Thank you is not needed. What is asked of you is that you
preform an act of kindness for someone else to show the same humanity
we saw on that day.
Thanks guys, M
