Group Description

The Community of Mary's Humble Little Sisters is a group for Christian transgendered persons, their spouses, partners, friends, and for people who want to express sympathy or solidarity with transgenders - simply for all people who can identify with its name and the idea to create a worldwide Christian sorority.

It offers a place in the web where to be a Christian lady among Christian ladies, be they transgendered or genetic women, to share a bit of our Christian life, to find a "safe haven" and spiritual home, to offer or ask for a prayer and also to help those who are in trouble or feel guilty because of certain interpretations of the Scripture, for example concerning clothes (such as Deuteronomy 22,5).

Why Mary? In the Acts of the Apostles (Acts 1, 14) we read: "All these with one accord were constantly at prayer, together with a group of women, and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and his brothers." Mary was the first human being who said "yes" to Jesus, who shared his life from the beginning (and even before it) to its end and beyond. I cannot imagine a woman more worthy to lend our little group her name.

This group is ecumenical, and neither sectarian nor missionary. We strictly respect each other's denomination, community, church or the fact that someone is no member of any congregation at all. It is Jesus Christ and The Lord's Prayer that unite us.

You are invited to group activities such as discussions or sharing pictures, either of yourself or of places of worship or pilgrimage. We may chat, have fun, talk seriously, or make a prayer request. Or simply be there as part of the community - silent, praying. I should very much like to encourage you to say one "Our Father" a day for the members of this group. Imagine, our members now come from five continents, each day people from all over the world pray for you, pray with you...

God's blessings and grace upon all of you who read this. Please pray for us.
