Is anyone here a fan of the Allman Brothers? I say that because three of the sons of the original members have a new band called the Allman Betts Band. We saw them back in March of this year, and I said to Greg this is going to be huge, and when their album was released in June, it debuted at #1 on Amazon and iTunes the day it was released. Check them out if you haven't had a chance; their original music is very good.

I do have a buddy that likes them and I'll have to ask him if he knows of that three sons taking over at the helm . Actually Nancy likes them maybe that could be a Christmas gift for her . She's in New Hampshire visiting her sister Deb which you've met both of them a couple times. Funny, if you're at Hampton Beach right now you could be sitting right beside them LOL.

Very true, Randy; same up here with the open mic nights and hearing the Allman Brothers music. I also have read Gregg's book (My Cross to Bear) as well as Duane's daughter Galadrielle's book (Please Be With Me), and they had some very rough times before they hit it big. Both books are great reads and also a great history of the band.  Being a bit of a history geek, and knowing that history, has made me appreciate them more. Who knows what would have happened if Gregg had gone to dental school like he had originally planned?

I have only been to Hampton Beach once this year, and it was not on a weekend. Hope that Nancy and Deb are enjoying the beach.
