It has been reported on Facebook and I received an e-mail from a source saying that Jesse Farner, Mark's youngest son has passed away after 8 years being a quadriplegic and living on life support most of that time.  If this is true, I send my heart felt prayers and condolences to Mark & Lesia, who all and all, deserved a better break than this.  I don't know of any two people more gracious to the public than these folks have been to me and to the rest......

God be with you, Farner family

I hope in time they both know they did everything they could do to make Jessie comfortable. Mark and Lesia, please know my heart goes out to you both along with Joseph, Jason and Adam and I promise to pray you find comfort knowing how much Jessie knew what he meant to you all!

I really wonder how Mark could even start to focus while performing. He has a show the 11th along with a dozen more this summer and fall. If I were him, I would chill and hit the stage next spring.

I told Greg and he was devastated, too; we had been at one of Mark's shows in Petoskey, and Jesse was there that night. Such strength, dignity and undaunted courage of this young man. Mark and Lesia have always been so kind to Greg and me. Losing a child is something that no parents should have to go through; our hearts ache for them. Sending love and prayers to all of them. We pray for Mark, that he will make the right decision performance wise and do what is best for himself and his family.

I really wonder how Mark could even start to focus while performing. He has a show the 11th along with a dozen more this summer and fall... OK, here's how I see it tonight.

After seeing what was posted on Mark's website today, the best thing to do would be to make a contribution to a charity of our choice, and this is in keeping with the wishes posted in the announcement on Mark's website. I guess a lot of people have been asking, and that is what their wishes are.

I talked to Greg tonight when I got home, and what we are going to do, since we live in a small town with a wonderful volunteer fire department, that is where we will send a contribution in memory of Jessie. If the fire department sends us a letter, we will make a copy of it, and bring it to Mark at the next show we see. That is a wise husband I have; I let him decide where to send our contribution.

We also have some cool events happening here the next couple of weeks; the Moving Wall, which is a replica of the Vietnam Veterans memorial wall, as well as the vintage WWII planes (one of them is a B-29!) at an airshow this coming weekend, so we will probably put a couple of bucks in each of their jars.
So that is how we are going pay that card on our end.

                                      How does that sound?

                                      Hope everyone is doing well.

                                      --Debbie & Greg.

I hope it is not to forward but you mentioned the Vietnam Veterans memorial wall. I recorded a song awhile back by a great songwriter, Jamie O'Hara called 50,000 Names.

I hope in time they both know they did everything they could do to make Jessie comfortable.

I won't profess to be a country music fan (although I do listen to a little Townes Van Zandt and Jimmy Webb from time to time), but I really enjoyed your tune and plan to listen to the other songs in your playlist. You are very talented, sir.

I'm cool with making a donation to Vietnam Vets in Jesse's name. To we want to collect everyone's funds and send one donation, or have each Railroader make a separate donation? I ok either way.

One last thing...what do y'all think of making the donation in honor of Jesse AND Jim Wicker?

I hope it is not to forward but you mentioned the Vietnam Veterans memorial wall. I recorded a song awhile back by a great songwriter, Jamie O'Hara called 50,000 Names.

Mark and Lesia have always been so kind to Greg and me. Losing a child is something that no parents should have to go through; our hearts ache for them. Sending love and prayers to all of them. We pray for Mark, that he will make the right decision performance wise and do what is best for himself and his family.

You're absolutely right, Bob. That kind of pain would be unbearable. I hope nobody here ever has to experience that kind of loss.

Brother Mark and Lesia are tremendous are people and wonderful parents. They have certainly been through a lot. God bless them as they move forward on this journey of life. God bless all of you for your compassion for your brothers and sisters here.

Shocking news. Whenever I think of Mark and Lesia, I automatically think of a Father and Mother who devote every breath of air, every second of their day to their youngest Son, Jessie. I hope in time they both know they did everything they could do to make Jessie comfortable. Mark and Lesia, please know my heart goes out to you both along with Joseph, Jason and Adam and I promise to pray you find comfort knowing how much Jessie knew what he meant to you all!

                                                Bob,

I won't profess to be a country music fan (although I do listen to a little Townes Van Zandt and Jimmy Webb from time to time), but I really enjoyed your tune and plan to listen to the other songs in your playlist. You are very talented, sir.

I'm cool with making a donation to Vietnam Vets in Jesse's name. To we want to collect everyone's funds and send one donation, or have each Railroader make a separate donation? I ok either way.

One last thing...what do y'all think of making the donation in honor of Jesse AND Jim Wicker?

                                                Love you guys,

                                                Randy
