An Estonian college student visited last fall to study New Sweden's historical background and is starting to write her thesis. She decided to concentrate mainly on Marie Malmquist's life and work and connect it to the history of New Sweden.
She has encountered some problems. The material that she has does not fully cover the later part of Malmquist's life. All she knows of her life after 1890 is that she moved to Massachusetts in 1891 and later on to New Hampshire and published books, mostly in MA.
Does anyone have any other information to share with her? Do you happen to know what happened to Marie after she moved away? Was she a nurse and a teacher and later on worked at a shoe-factory, but when or where exactly? Are there some relatives she could turn to?
