      Tanks Peter,
I did get an answer from Ai Squared. I forwarded this answer to both our IT
departmentas well as to our SAP implementation team. IT is testing the
ezoom magnifier. I am not in the office today due to reduced working hours.
I will forward your below mail to our contactperson at SAP, if you do not
      mind.
      I will keep you updated.
      Best regards,
      Piet

      HI Piet,

Did you also got a reply from AI Squared?
Do you use a JAVA SAP client?
Most Java application are hard or not accessible for screen readers and
screen magnifiers as the programmers of those clients do not respect the
      guidelines for accessibility.

The lack of accessibility guidelines in programming user interfaces is
realy a growing danger for employment of visually impaired.
It seems that assistive technology vendors no longer can properly
support visually impaired on the workplace.

In your concrete situation for SAP it is not only enough to write that
there software is compatible with ZoomText 8.1 and higher, but they
should make their software accessible for screen magnifiers and screen
      readers.

      Hello Peter Verhoeven,

I believe one of our other Tech's responded to the email from Piet
Zuidam. He was wondering if this program uses a form of Java which is
not really compatible with assistive technologies. You can try
installing the Java Access Bridge to see if it may help. Thanks.

      Hi,

sorry, in addition to my previous post SAP also recommends ZoomText, but
for the person below it does not seems to work.

      Hi,

At magnifiers.org I recieve a growing number of questions like this.
This is also my experience. It looks like screen readers and magnifiers
only support mainstream Microsoft applications, But not applications
from other vendors and no support for new technology.

SAP is the most used eRP system in the world and accessibility to sAP is
important for hundreds of visually impaired employees in the world.

      BTW:

SAP recommend to use Magic from Freedom Scientific

Subject: [magnifiers] working with SAP and Zoomtext

      Dear all,
Recently the company I work for changes its ERP programm from Enterprise
1 to SAP. And there my problem started. On my computer both at work as
well as at home I work with Zoomtext 9.1. However, Zoomtext does not
support SAP and the otherway around SAP does not see Zoomtext as a valid
partner. In other words there is no communication between both
programms. That makes my job as material planner rather complicated.
I already tried to contact AI Square, being the producer of Zoomtext,
but they did not react up until now. And my contacts with SAP did not
work out very well. Now I hope to find a solution within this forum.
Looking forward to hear from you.
      Best regards,
      Piet Zuidam,
