      Please find below the Secretarial Report regarding the TRF Workshop held on 1st December ' 2013 hosted by Rotary Club of Ambala.

      District Workshop on Rotary Foundation

      Rotary Club of Ambala hosted the District Workshop on TRF on 1st December 2013, at Kr. Rukmani Devi Memorial Hall. The Programme was organised in a grand manner under the inspiring and able guidance of PRID Rtn. Yash Das. The Programme started in the morning at 9 O' Clock with Registrations followed by a relishing breakfast. The Workshop started at 10:20 A.M with the collaring of District Governor Rtn. Rakesh Aggarwal by Rtn. Surinder Goyal and collaring of our President Dr. Desh Bandhu by Rtn. Varun Chaudhary. After the lighting of lamp, Saraswati Vandana was invoked by a Group of Rotaractors from S D College. President Dr. Desh Bandhu formally welcomed DG Rtn. Rakesh Aggarwal, DRFC Rtn. Madhukar Malhotra, PRID Rtn. Yash Das and all other past and present R.I officers and the participants. Floral welcome of DG by PDG Dr. Manmohan Nath and DRFC by Rtn. Dr. Desh Bandhu was also conducted. After these opening formalities, the Programme started with the address of DRFC Rtn. Madhukar explaining in detail about the purpose of this Programme. DG Rtn. Rakesh Aggarwal also addressed the participants and gave his opening remarks and then it was time for motivational address by PRID Rtn. Yash Pal Das. In his motivational address, he took the members to a journey of places like Kaala Handi, where one can understand what the Poverty is and why we should contribute to the foundation. He narrated many stories and incidents to motivate the members to contribute generously to the foundation. After his address, ARRFC Dr. G. K. Thakral explained in detail about the TRF Recognitions. AGSC PDG Arun Sharma made a presentation on Annual Giving. Then a live demo on members access and a tutorial on Grants was conducted by Rtn. Amarjeet Singh, Rtn. N. S. Aulakh and Rtn. Peeyush Mittal. After the Q&A Session, a motivational address by Rtn. Kawal Bedi was also done. President Elect Rtn. Pankaj Gupta gave a formal vote of thanks from our Club and invited the Guests for Lunch.

      The Programme witnessed excellent arrangements due to a concerted team effort by the Club members. The registration committee led by Rtn. Anil Verma and Rtn. R. K. Sharma and supported by Rtn. Neeraj Jain, Dr. Chander Mohan Kakkar, Rtn. Shiv Singla, Rtn. O. P. Verma, Rtn. S. C. Khurana, Rtn. Vikram Mahajan, Rtn. Ashok Garg and many other members excellently handled the Registrations. The Catering team led by Rtn. Dharmender Gupta and supported by Rtn. Surinder Goyal, Rtn. Anil Jain, Rtn. Manoj Anand made excellent catering arrangements which was appreciated by one and all. The Physical arrangements led by Rtn. Naresh Bhardwaj got very big applause from the District for excellent arrangements in the Hall. The District Governor and DRFC Madhukar Malhotra in their address categorically stated that this Workshop has set new benchmarks and appreciated the total arrangements of the Programme. The Hall was given an excellent ambience with the flower decorations and other decorations done by Rtn. Manisha Garg and Rtn. Manju Saggar. I feel that the members who could not make it convenient to attend this Programme really missed a grand opportunity to meet our leaders and a great fellowship with the members of the District. The Programme concluded well in time as planned at 3 P.M.
