      Sorry for being dense... I have only just found out what you meant my
      "sneaker-net"
      Yes that is all I use to transfer files!

      Noting the other comments about it being related to USB I will investigate
      it the next time it happens as I do use a USB stick on my sneaker-net :o)

      ... Maybe not your problem. But I had a video card failure on my VMC fairly recently. I changed it for another one I had on the shelf, it was hopeless.

        Maybe not your problem. But I had a video card failure on my VMC
        fairly recently. I changed it for another one I had on the shelf, it
        was hopeless. Original was AGP I put in a PCI card and the replacement
        worked BUT even jogging would suffer a regular bump in the pulse train.
