      yes you can! you get a single axis boart and you find the wire in the db25 connector that are sending the signal for that axis and patch it in.
      how i did that was to make a connector using 3 db25 connectors and had one for the computer, number two to the 3-axis controler, and the third to the single axis controler. I made a pcb for it and used chip style micro switches to turn the signals on and off the the 3 ports.
