Kernel - pulse problems
- Hi All - Please help if you can.
I have a desktop that I loaded a fresh xp on. I optimized the computer by following everything on the .txt file on Mach3's site. When I run the driver test the result is ALWAYS system excellent 25k approx. I am running nema 34's and the motors never sounded good. Diagnostic page shows the pulse freq. at 20900 - 20100. I go back to driver test everything shows up perfect again. Change driver to special driver same results. The computer is Pentium III hyper thread dual processor. Change ACPI to Standard Computer still same results. As a side note I installed a new audio card when I originally got the computer - disabled the device just to ensure everything was clean, same results 20900 - 20100. I have exhausted all efforts. Does this computer just not work with Mach??? Oh when I change the kernel to 35k diagnostic shows 30900 - 30100. Is there anything left to test/try. I have another computer ready to go that diagnostic screen shows 25k and motors sound like butter but I really am curious to find the cause.
