I just got an insurance quote from Progressive. They and boat US are often the best buys
but it depends on if you group you car and home insurance for best rates. Anyway,
according to BUC, which is what the insurance firms use for value, here are some of the
figures below. Note the "replacement" value. If someone steals your boat or it's otherwise
a total loss, the replacement value would let you buy at least a 26X. I think they use
replacement value to consider purchasing a new one, which isn't possible since they
haven't been made for about 12 years.
