            Doug,
            You will find sampi in the TITUS Cyberbit Basic font (or any
            unicode font) at the 03e0 and 03e1 positions. To find the characters
            in Windows: (1) go to your Character Map (should be in Programs ->
            Accessories). (2) If TITUS is installed (it may already be), choose
            it from the drop-down menu. (3) Make sure that the "Advanced view"
            checkbox is CHECKED. (4) In the "Go to Unicode:" box, type "03e0"
            (Zero Three E Zero). That is the capital sampi, and the lowercase
            sampi is next to it at the 03e1 position.
            A way of typing the sampi in Microsoft Word: (1) make TITUS
            Cyberbit Basic your font, (2) type "03e0" or "03e1", (3) press Alt-
            X. That should turn "03e0" and "03e1" into the capital and lowercase
            sampi, respectively.

            You can download TITUS Cyberbit Basic here:

                Hi all,

                To expand on Dave's remarks a little...

                I personally find MS Character Map a little inconvenient, particularly if
                one doesn't know exactly where to look for a character.

                Fortunately, there are charts of Unicode characters available which display
                the character set along with its Unicode (or is that "Unicode code"?).

                These can be printed out and kept close at hand for reference.

                The main listing is found at;

                http://www.unicode.org/charts/

                The Greek and Coptic are found in the one file;

                http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0370.pdf

                The Combining Diacritical Marks are found at;

                http://www.unicode.org/charts/PDF/U0300.pdf

                Hope it helps,
                MH.

                You will find sampi in the TITUS Cyberbit Basic font (or any
