Volunteer reciters are required for a choral reading of Paul Robinson’s work Genesis|Terminus on the evening of November 2nd from roughly 5.00 pm tp 8.00pm at the Wild Pansy Press Project Space in the School of Fine Art, University of Leeds. There would be a short rehearsal period the preceding Wednesday (October 26th) at 6.00pm subject to everyone’s availability.
We estimate that the performance-recital will take just over 2 hours in total, however individual readers will recite in short relays!

Please contact Simon Lewandowski (s.lewandowski@...<mailto:s.lewandowski@...>) if you are interested in taking part.

Genesis|Terminus pursues the de-construction of poetry by the appropriation, intervention & modification of another text; in this instance, the King James Bible (Oxford Standard Text, 1769), imbued with passional emotion, is pared down to the first and last word
(Genesis|Terminus) of every verse of every chapter of every book. The outcome is a work of work, a work of art, and a work of poetry infolded with aphasic disorder, unthinking rhyme and corrupt narrative.

Christian radio broadcaster & annihilationist Harold Camping mathematically prophesied two End Time<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_end_times_prediction> calendar dates: the rapture, to occur on 21st May 2011; and the end of the world, 5 months later, on 21st October 2011.

As a response to Camping’s eschatological date-setting, a single page from Genesis|Terminus is being posted (in reverse order) for each of the 154 days between, and inclusive of, the prophesied rapture (21st May 2011) and the prophesied end of the world (21st October 2011).

Genesis|Terminus is a forthcoming installation (Wild Pansy Press Project Space | Autumn, 2011) & publication (Dingle Institute for Poetics<http://www.dingleinstituteforpoetics.org/thedingleinstituteforpoetics_publications.html>: paperback, 139pp | Autumn, 2011) from the poet Paul Robinson<http://www.paulrobinsonpoetry.co.uk/>.
