TEACHINGS ON THE GREAT LAM RIM (Lam Rim Chen Mo)
Part I: The Foundations for the Path to Enlightenment
      Venerable Choden Rinpoche
      Land of Medicine Buddha, June 1 - 28, 2001

This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to study in depth the
classic and definitive text on the Stages of the Path to
enlightenment by Lama Tsong Khapa with one of the greatest living
masters of the doctrine and an outstanding yogi-practitioner, Ven
      Choden Rinpoche.

The commentary is to be given in five modules, each lasting a full
month, over the next two-and-a-half years. It is perfect for anyone
wishing to engage in serious study and practice of the Lam Rim, or
who is training to teach others.

The first module will take place from June 1-28, following His
Holiness the Dalai Lama's teachings in San Jose. It will cover in
detail the preliminaries and teachings on the Small Scope, which are
the essential and unavoidable basis for all the practices that lead
      to enlightenment.

Each module will be given in a retreat situation with two teaching
sessions a day, group practice, guided meditations, review and
discussion. Ven George Churinoff, a senior monk, scholar and
experienced practitioner will be the resident Western course liason.

      FESTIVAL OF TEACHINGS AND INITIATIONS
      Venerable Choden Rinpoche
      June 2/3, 9/10, 16/17, 23/24
Each weekend in June, Ven Choden Rinpoche will lead a series of
important weekend teachings and initiations essential for the
      spiritual path.
