Media Lab September Monthly Special
Tantric Grounds and Paths
by Kirti Tsanshab Rinpoche, 2003. 20 DVD set.
In this DVD set the great Tibetan Buddhist Lama, Kirti Tsenshab Rinpoche teaches on Tantric Grounds and Paths by Ngawang Pelden. In order to be of maximum benefit to others, Buddha revealed both the common and uncommon paths to full enlightenment. The common path of sutra, as embodied in the lam-rim teachings, serves as the basis for the uncommon path of tantra, capable of guiding qualified practitioners to enlightenment in even one short lifetime. Following Ngawang Pelden's text on the The Tantric Grounds and Paths, the most venerable Kirti Tsenshab Rinpoche presents a comprehensive explanation of the various elements making up the lightning vehicle of tantra. His teachings include an explanation of the three lower tantras as well as a more detailed explanation of the two stages of highest yoga tantra, the most profound of all four levels of tantric practice.
As these are normally secret and sacred teachings Rinpoche has requested that people wishing to watch this DVD set to have respect for Tantric Buddhism. This teaching was given at Vajrapani institute in 2003 and includes both Tibetan and English, exceptionally translated by Voula Zarpani. One DVD (lesson 7) has the audio and a photo slide show as the original video was lost for just that one disc.
Normal Donation for this 20 DVD set is = $239.25 + Shipping (& Tax in CA)
Monthly Special Donation for this 20 DVD set is = $119.63 + Shipping (& Tax in CA)

Lama Zopa Rinpoche at GGBC
October 14th Hold the date!
We are excited to be hosting a teaching by Lama Zopa Rinpoche in San Jose.
The exact location is still to be determined.
Rinpoche wants to give a transmission of the Ksitigarbha Sutra. Ksitigarbha is one of a group called the Eight Close Sons of the Buddha. He specializes in releasing beings from hell, those beings that have some connection with Ksitigarbha. His name, which means Earth Treasury, relates to the earth being a support, and that Ksitigarbha supports sentient beings; he holds them up from falling into the lower realms.
